a collection of recipes, reflections, poems, and histories about the basics. reflecting upon alliums, we are drawn to all things that, although they may be foundational to us, often go unrecognized, unloved, and even unnoticed.

although the allium is often the base of our favorite dishes, the flavor is generally encouraged to be subtle and understated. in this zine we hope to bring what is typically hidden into the spotlight: we ask you to help us bring the basics to the front.
